Resistance (2003 film)

''Resistance'' is a 2003 Dutch/American World War II film, directed by Todd Komarnicki and starring Bill Paxton, Julia Ormond, Philippe Volter, Sandrine Bonnaire, and Victor Reinier. It was written by Komarnicki and Anita Shreve, based on Shreve's 1995 novel of the same name. ''Resistance'', with a 16 million euro budget, was the most expensive Dutch production ever. Its theatrical run lasted for just one week.
==Plot==
The tale of an American reconnaissance pilot, Ted Brice (Paxton), downed in occupied Belgium at the height of World War II. Hidden by resistance fighters, he falls in love with the wife (Ormond) of the man who will save him. When their affair is exposed, an act of betrayal threatens their lives and the entire resistance movement, forcing the pilot to make a powerful choice that could change the course of the war.
